"Great coffee, it was so tempting looking in the cabinet. Salads and sandwiches, pies and patties it all looked fresh, healthy and tasty, the food and service was decent, cakes and desserts are incredibly delicious. The meringue was a winner for me - crunchy on the outside, moist and chewy on the inside. And I don't even generally like meringue! Will be back."

"Perth locals brought us here for breakfast on a Saturday and we were lucky to get a good table as it is very popular. (Be sure to book if possible. The restaurant is large and has a lovely outlook onto a pond and gardens in Kings Park. We loved the large serving of scrambled eggs and our friends enjoyed their choices. We all liked the coffee. There was a fabulous selection of sweet treats. This is a lovely location to relax alone or with others."

"Long gone are the Star anise days. Fuyu is simply not good. The food is so-so, and really not even on par with most cut rate Northbridge establishments. The staff are just too young ignorant, while thinking they actually know 'stuff'. Prices sky high. I hear they are closing, and that is the best thing about the experience."

"First time I've been here as was super impressed with the service, drinks menu and atmosphere. Great indoor and outdoor areas with plenty of tables and seating. Prices were also reasonable for drinks, although I didn't try any food but will certainly be going back again."

"Went for lunch today with the Wife and Father Inlaw. Location I thought was going to be good, only problem is the join in the windows overlooking the river is at eye level for the average Jo Jo (had to chuck that in, sorry) so unless u r 3 feet tall or 7 feet tall you cant see squat. Service was ok - although waiter didnt seem happy when we didnt order wine or garlic bread. Wine only by the bottle - saw Brown Brothers Moscato for $30 so stuck to the lesser of 2 evils and had $10 schooners instead. Meals were nice enough but u r paying $35-$40 for entree size mains.<br>
As I dont like paying $40 for a main and walking out hungry, I most likely wont be returning."

"These guys pump out great breakfasts, from toasted fruit loaf to waffles to the full scrambled eggs with bacon on toast.For mine, the scrambled eggs could be a little more cooked, but everyhing else is spot on and generous.The difference this visit was that four of our five hot drinks were not that hot.Mentioned to staff. Hopefully they take it on board - possibly sitting too long befre delivery."

"Food was ok but letdown by a female staff member (the manager who made us feel really uncomfortable and tried to get us to leave immediately after eating in a not very subtle way... Bringing the bill which we hadn't asked for, and then coming back and saying are you ready to pay now' 5 minutes later. Then continually eyed us up after we paid until we left (on a quiet Tuesday night no less, with all of 3 occupied tables). Pretty rude really.. and no thank you' or even eye contact once we paid. Service really let them down. Shame as the curry was (overpriced but) nice."
