"Very disappointed. I made booking beforehand for 4 people, to celebrate my youngest son's 19th birthday. We were astounded when the waitress asked to see my son's ID. He's 6 foot 3 with a full beard and most certainly does not look under the legal drinking age. He didn't bring his wallet with because it wasn't necessary. Both my husband and I were really annoyed. We are a decent, respectable family, not a bunch of rowdy students who could potentially be under age drinkers. This was meant to be a birthday dinner for our son. My husband left us at the restaurant, drove home and got some ID for my son, drove back to the restaurant and showed it to the waitress so that she could bring him the Corona that he ordered. The manager then came to the table and asked to see his ID again, making us feel like we were being deceitful in some way. By this time our evening was ruined, and we just wanted to eat our curry and leave. But, to top it off the Lamb Hyderabad that we ordered didn't even have lamb it was beef! Such an utterly disappointing experience. We will never return."

"Well impressed! Was passing by, saw was opened, after 3pm,Weds... decided to try it out, yumo! Had battered fish, half scoop of chips, fish cake homemade gravy... under $20, was delish! Crispy batter on fish, chips were fluffy inside and nice and crispy outter, gravy mmmm, totally recommend! Lady even brought our kai to us whilst we waited outside for order, didnt hear our order called out, typical windy as wellies weather, thankyou! "I have tried a lot of Indian Restaurants in Wellington area and this is by far the best Indian food outlet. Food is fantastic and really tastes authentic. Wife loves the Chicken Korma from here and I like the Lamb Madras. Atomosphere of the restaurant is really friendly and the staff always helps you to try something new on their menu. Service is fast without compromising with the food quality. Kudos to the Taj team."

"I was greeted by friendly professional FOH staff when I arrived. I had pre-ordered and only had to wait a couple of minutes for my order when I got there. I ordered the kadai prawns and garlic naan. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the whole dish was lovely I couldn't fault it. The garlic naan was tasty and fresh. Great friendly atmosphere and delicious food. I will definitely be back!"
