"We had a surprisingly tasty dinner here recently. service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. the sweets were particularly good! the whole food was absolutely tasteful (we ordered our dishes “extra hot” and went really well with the beer they had. it was really useful that they listed all allergens on the menu. only disappointment was that they have no vegan-friendly brot. we'll eat here again when we visit the opposite."

"Great atmosphere amazing food. Most importantly we felt safe to visit with current Guidance in place. Great Al fresco vibe... Everything perfectly spaced, hand hygiene points, seperate entry/exit clear guidance throughout. Mike, Michelle and staff never fail to deliver. We attended on...Pizza night, great menu, had the option of gluten free pizza too (which can be difficult to find for those with GF diet), it was all absolutely delicious. Totally recommend, you won't be disappointed. Thank you."

"That was a delicious meal. I love the burger. juicy and tasteful! the texture of the chips was ideal, a wonderful balance of soft and crispy. the woofers were great. "Visited last month for Sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere and 5 star food. I had the beef which was cooked perfectly, served with Yorkshire pud, veg and a large jug of gravy. My husband had the turkey and my mother had the lamb, they said that theirs was cooked perfectly too. Service was very good and we were looked after well. Excellent value for money. We have also tried the home made pizza here too and couldn’t fault. Highly recommended, 5 star all round well worth a visit."

"If I were considered a vegan, I would give 6 stars if I were a carnivore, but there is less choice for us fussy. that said I should have asked the personal because I'm sure they rusted me a vegan starter, and I say I'm sure because they only did that for one dessert, though it didn't list one on the menu. the lady who served us was so nice. eating was also really good, and the only vegan option on the menu (beans bourguignon) was really incredibly delicious! honestly, can not emphasize enough how beautiful and welcome the staff were, and we will probably visit again."

"The food at Checkers was definitely 5/5 . The flavours and experience were superb. We had booked via their website and had only gone as I had been given £40 in vouchers by my work colleagues. There was nowhere to indicate on the site that we had vouchers but as we knew they would hardly cover the bill we didn’t worry. Also the voucher was bought from them so had been paid for in advance and was still in date. After a brilliant meal we went to pay and used our voucher. £168 £40) We were told off in a curt manner but they did grudgingly take the voucher. It left a sour taste on what should have been an excellent experience."
