"We ate with friends. food is correct but find that the bill was too high for what we ate. It's Greek style, but we can't bring our wine. I went there twice and I'm sure I'm not going back."

"This is modern buzzy fascinating unpretentious restaurant minimalist with small touch of decor. It is not trying to be smart, but creates a modern almost bistro cafe appearance to downplay that it means business when it comes to its kitchen We took the four-course surprise menu, although they kindly allowed us the cheese board as we felt dessert was quite rich, how often the case in Canada that I find strange where the previous dishes are so tender. As Pescevores we enjoyed the octopus and cod both beautifully presented and cooked to perfection with subtle shrimp. As a non-candier we are struggling with the application of the service, as it contradicts whether you pay the service to taxes and for wine, which is not prepared and we have been presented here with various perspectives, but it has not distracted from a great evening."

"I have to say Mr Danny provided exceptional service. We were visiting Quebec city for the first time and wanted a true culinary experience especially as we heard so much about Quebec cuisine. The starters were exceptional, we had the bisque and also the...grilled fois gas (wow!! go here just for this item if this is all you get). However, we were let down a bit by the main course, we all ordered the fish Halibut, as we love seafood (in hindsight, we should have ordered different items to try), It was cooked perfectly but it just lacked flavour, really did and we tried each others plates. This is not a cheap restaurant and we wanted to be wowed all the way through too bad. After the amazing starters that were bursting with flavour, it ended the evening a bit down."

"Le Castel des Prés begins with a well curated wine list. The servers suggestion, a dry French Chablis, primed my taste buds for the meal to come. My choice was salmon tartare topped with greens and lightly pickled cabbage and accompanied with likely cucumber and...reddish. I added the shooter of Worcestershire sauce to heat this avalanche of subtly blended tastes, and took a few promme fritts (crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside) dipped in a mustard mayo. My companion started with tomato bisque and followed with a elegantly composed Caesar Salad dressed with crisp pancetta and thin layers of parmesan cheese. The wine was worth repeating with dessert: a chocolate lava cake dressed with fruit, whipped cream and more chocolate cream. It was hard to find such a fine venue in the suburban sprawl on the outskirts of Trois-Rivieres. A sprawling building that likely hosts large parties, we dined on the covered patio/late spring. A perfect setting and great attention to the server who was patient with our travellers French and filled in gaps with English explanations. It's worth going out of the way to enjoy a meal here."

"Stopped in for dinner will on a stop back to Ontario. What a nice looking resturant inside. Great selection of Greek fare. The calamari was great. Had the souvlaki as well as the filet mignon. Terrific value for the price. Just there is no alcohol served but you're welcome to bring your own wine or beer."
