"We hadn't reserved or booked thinking we could get takeout after Unfortunately the kitch closed at and they had packed up the cookware. However, the guy in charge rang up the other branch and they managed to get us a couple of dishes...very last minute. Never seen just generous actions. Thankyou and defo recommend the food. Very tasty."

"A lovely hidden gem of a garden and a perfect spot for sundowners. The food was good, but we were expecting something more locally sourced/reflective of the area. Lovely to try some different local wine. We’ll probably be back."

"Attended for our Valentine's meal. Great airy setting and not crammed with tables. Food was spot on, decent sized portions that left us satisfied without feeling uncomfortable and just enough pretentiousness to make it feel special. The staff were a true asset. Welcoming and friendly,...very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Good value for money, towards the top end of mid-range, but not quite fine dining. We'll definitely return some time. If I was to be ultra critical, the lighting wasn't great in the function room where we had our meal, it was a little on the dark side and there was a slightly annoying automatic dimming setting where the intensity of the light was constantly varying. The wife would of liked a couple more petit toasts for her pate, there were only and a lot of pate... and some extra veggies with our main would of been nice, we had the duck and even putting steamed baby carrots with stalks on would of totally changed it, just the cabbage and potatoes wasn't quite enough... Also, the decor was a little bland, it was nice, don't get me wrong, but I'm sure a little extra could of been done with it being Valentines Day to make it special without it being tacky (a rose or and some hearts, a bit of red wouldn't of gone amiss etc) as it could of been any other day. That being said, I am being overly critical and picky We would like to thank all the staff for such a lovely evening and look forward to visiting again, maybe next time we'll stay the night."

"Had the summer salad and lamb and both were really good. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Husband had oysters and sea bass and also cleaned his plate. Music when we first arrived was great but connection spotty so went silent shortly after we arrived. Music made for a nicer atmosphere. All in all excellent!"

"Have been a few times over the years and always assured of a friendly welcome and great food. Lovely roast beef, and the cod and chips are the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommended."
