"You must know why the noise level was moderate...because all the people in there and the people waiting to get in on a Monday in April. Rudy's you rock it. Our food was delicious from start to finish. Book it on open table. Go there. Order deep in the menu and tip big. This place has the best food and I eat out from LA to Seattle and Dallas in between. As good or better than any of those places. $1000 dinners in the big city can't compare to the $179 we paid including a 25% tip and wine and dessert and the wagu steak. MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. Do it. This is a great value for what you get too. Not sure what their food cost is because you get so much food included with each entre. Memorable."

"My mother and I were in the area for a doctor's appointment, we were getting hungry and decided to try something a little different so we scouted around on Google maps a bit to scope out our options. We decided to give Alsham a try as we were driving past it anyways. The man running it (I presume the owner was very polite and EXTREMELY enthusiastic about our presence as new customers. Once we ordered it took a bit longer than we'd hoped to be brought to our table but the wait was easily worth it. We both ordered the lamb shawarma combo plate. The serving size was quite reasonable for the price; lb was fantastic, well seasoned with a pleasant texture somewhere between chewy and tender. The rice I believe was a home made saffron seasoned white rice, and tasted wonderful with the lamb and pita bread. I enjoyed the stuffed grape leaves, though the flavor is quite intense and vinnegar-y. The surprise VIP of the plate, in my opinion, was the spinach puff. It was very flavorful with what seemed to be a hint of lemon and chopped walnuts in a fairly typical dough (possibly the same as is used for the pita bread. Being a lover of sweets, I couldn't resist when my mother and I were offered a free sample of the house-made Baklava. I was at a loss for words and, call it hyperbole if you will, the flavor of it nearly brought me to tears. We ordered two pieces to go and went on our way. If I get the opportunity I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer."

"I wanted to try this after seeing this featured on the local news channel, since I like Pakistani food and didn 't know of any place local. The place has no decorations so you 're not going to enjoy eating in nice scenery. There are just basic chairs and tables for eating and the inside is very small. The lady taking orders at the counter was mansplaining to me about what I wanted to order. Like I didn 't know anything about Pakistani/South Asian food which was very annoying and I took as a micro aggression since I 'm Asian. This lady was not Pakistani at all! You can figure out the rest. Told me the Nihari was very spicy according to her, like it was going to put my mouth on fire which is extremely hot in my mind. She then gave me some kind of chicken to sample and asked me, 'is this hot? ' And I said no. Then when I asked her, if this was chicken breast, she no, because they only use the most tender parts of the chicken since it was halal. That is incorrect, because I eat halal and can have bought halal chicken breast in the halal grocery store! Was still confused by what she meant by the Nihari was hot so I asked her again what she meant and she said, 'it was pretty hot. ' By the chicken she gave me, she didn 't convince me that it was going to be that hot and decided that I would regret if I didn 't get. I ordered that, along with Chana masala, salad, and naan bread. And by the way, the Nihari was not even a little bit spicy to me. It would have been so much easier for me if the lady would have just let me order without trying to convince me that I shouldn 't because she felt it might be too hot for me and acting like I was ignorant. The owner really needs to monitor how this employee talks to customers especially people of color and acting as if they 're ignorant about the level of spiciness and about information that is given about halal food! The portion of the food was very small for what I paid! In a big metro area, for the same price, I would have gotten a much larger portion with enough left over to take home not in this place. I guess with no other competition, you can charge whatever you want for hardly any food. The Nihari was good though there were only a few pieces of beef. The portion of rice and salad were only a few bites. Was still hungry when I left. Stopped eating because there wasn 't enough rice for the rest of the Nihari. Chana masala didn 't taste exactly fresh and was lukewarm. Took the naan home. For me, I would have to really be craving Pakistani food without a way to visit DC to get some there, before I would come back here again!"

"I would add photos but it’s already devoured!! Best naan I’ve ever had, everything I tried was amazing. I bought a few things not expecting to like everything so much so had to come write a review. Now one of my favorites in Salem easily. *edit* no seriously it’s like my new favorite place. Great food!!"
