"My family wanted to do something special for Father's Day, and we vacillated between several restaurants in the Eastern Townships; Le Chou-Bruxelles was the first that answered my call and forgave my terrible French. What we found: pleasant ambiance, a genuine welcome from Christian our server, menus and service in English, but Christian offered a little non patronizing instruction about the French names of the plates. We chose the menu gastronomique and all had variations on salmon carpaccio, ris de veau, fish soup (splendid, subtle herbs) mussels of course, rabbit and wonderful desserts. The pace was unhurried, the ambiance pleasant and not overwhelming, and service superb. Being able to bring our own wine was a special treat as alcohol taxes in Quebec are confiscatory. Well worth the hour drive from our home just across the border. We will come again and recommend to friends. The menu gastronomique is a five course meal, not counting the sorbet between courses, and a wonderful value at about 108 USD for three. Amazing"

"What a pleasant surprise ?. One of the few open on Monday but we'll go again any day and plan on checking out their Magog location. Manager Nancy was wonderful making great selections; rack of lamb, flank steak and flan for dessert. She is a keeper!Food: 5/5"
