"Weary ramblers returned hear for lunch after a six mile hike, mine hosts Mike and Jean were very accommodating and welcoming. Couldn’t fault the service the food and the price. The home made Marie Rose sauce with prawns was a delight. G."

"At the first visit, definitiw not the last amazing selection of vegan dressed. Portions are huge and the food came fast and was really fresh and delicious. had sweet and sour veg and cashews, with rice and chips! there were 2 meals."

"So I was scared after visiting inside this pub no drinks or bottles on show only us in there not been cleaned or renovated since 1960 no music not chat from landlord it was silent cold and dirty. Can’t believe this place is still going felt so sorry for them and wanted to have a drink to help them surviveMaybe better in the summer when you don’t have to sit inside"

"We don’t live too far from this area and always had good service when visiting. Normally we walk from Froghall stop have lunch and walk back. Today we decided to park on the pub car park opposite and walk to Hettys tea room and back for our lunch. We crossed over and I was asked if we were walking and I said yes but we were coming back for lunch and I was met with ‘everyone says that’ which I sort of understand. Then I was that ‘there’s a nice concrete car park not too far away ‘… which was completely condescending…. Which I treated it with the contempt it deserved and said nothing. I walked back to our car and said to my husband shall we pay for our food then he knows we’re coming back. So walked back over and spoke to the rather abrupt person and offered to pay for food to be met with more rudeness and abruptness saying I don’t even know if we’re doing food as we’ve a water leak yadder yadder yadder at which point I walked away whilst he was spouting off not allowing his obvious lack of manners and self awareness to spoil my day It’s very disappointing to be treated in such a way particularly when we were offering a reasonable solution to the problem to be met with a condescending tone abruptness and rudeness. My only annoyance is that I mistakenly returned despite my initial treatment and allowed him to be rude yet again to me. We shall definitely be giving this place a wide birth from now on which is such a shame We had an amazing lunch served with a smile in Dilhorne thanks to you we’ve found an even better place to visit"

"We were a party of 8 and celebrating an event. Most of us had steak and two had chicken. The service was delivered with a smile by a pleasant waitress and the helpings were good. Everything tasted great and we finished up with some kind of Sundae that I had never heard of. Altogether an excellent meal. This landlord is trying hard to please his customers."

"Visited this restaurant on Sunday for a trip for my family, when we visited a campsite near. the personal was so friendly and nothing too angry. I told the manager that I liked a sweet and sour dish, but wanted to season it. He asked the cook to come out and he said he would make me a special dish. he came out a few minutes later and asked me if the court was to be mine. all the food was amazing and without doubt the best we ever take away and we had a few on our travels. highly recommended. barry -liverpool"
