"Don't waste your $36 on the ribs. They may have been succulent a week ago but were dehydrated and dry. One part of the serving had been lost in the marinade for god knows how long even the bone was black and fell apart....Makes you wonder how long since they cleaned the pot and made a fresh batch. Clearly they don't care what they serve up. My wife's chicken dish even had a brown avocado and she had to request a replacement. There are far better cafes in town and cheaper."

"Hickory in Tamborine Mountain is a fantastic little restaurant. They serve delicious, slow cooked ribs, beef, and pork belly. Serving portions were so large that part of them got boxed for take away. The draft beer selection on our visit was quite good. The service was very attentive!"

"They took more than half an hour to set our table although a reservation had been made. The food choices were good however they took an hour and a half before we were served the mains and another Alf an hour before dessert. The restaurant was not at it's full capacity even though the meals were severely delayed."

"Food drinks: Had lunch at the manor and it was fantastic! Firstly we had to alter our booking time last minute due to an activity running over and they were so flexible and accommodating which was lovely. The meals were really well priced and great for value! This is usually odd in high tourist areas but best meal I’ve had at Mount Tambourine over many visits to gallery walk. All 6 people really enjoyed their meal ordering different things. The staff were lovely and friendly too and also bought a little treat out for mum as we were celebrating a belated Mother’s Day. We will definitely go back!"

"We booked a two-day stay from the New Year's Day. Yeah, it was a okay stay. Yes, it was a weekend. no one but a purer to see in the future. She still cleaned our room when we arrived on time. the place looked devastated. we went to the ground for mins before getting access to our holiday home. we get this was a holiday time and at a point the restaurant was opened, but in an email to us before the arrival we were told that it was closed. the so-called kitchenette was completely useless, as it had no rinse, and to rinse glasses and teller, we had to use the bathroom pool. there was no sharp knife to cut anything unless they count the cheese knife. no proper tools to bbq with except a small couple tangs. no sugar, salt, pfeffer or even paprika. we thought we were ready to provide ourselves, but that was nothing but trying to cook in a motel room. with a toaster and crippled and microshaft. we had a wonderful view of the laundry when we were stacked with dirty linen in the door. we also overlook the most unattractive bbq area for guests. Even an air bnb offers more than these huts offer. zero service . not even a welcome note. we felt completely invisible and not welcome. if you want to book the whole place for your high time, I am sure that they are made more than welcome, but if they are looking for only a special place to get away, choose them somewhere else."
