"A beautiful looking bistrot, an inviting terrace, cosy interior but what followed over the next three plus hours beggars belief. Not one senior manager or headwaiter present on a very busy Monday evening. I/we were looking forward to eating here again but it was a complete shambolic chaos from start to finish, it made Faulty Towers look like a three star from unbelievably inept wine service the champagne took 40 minutes to be served numerous wrong bottles (4) were bought but never the correct one despite clearly saying and pointing in fluent Frenc, so in desperation we ordered a pretty mediocre house bubbles out of frustration and thirst Food ordered after 1 hour, then nothing we waited and waited and waited when it arrived average foie gras at best, a bottle of Savigny ordered and again the wrong bottle was incorrect they bought red instead of white..... Frogs legs ok best dish of the meal then Poulet de Bresse solid hard over cooked supreme and under cooked leg cold rib pilaf was sent back three times........ The fromage blanc/ faisselle was cheese rather than the usual light fresh curd cheese it is, even the crème de Bresse lacked its customary lactic acidity and beauty. No dessert offers or asked for even though it was on our menu......I could go on but what's the point........The waiting staff were completely in the proverbial but once the place emptied they seemed just disinterested chatting to each other on signing the bill no good bye or any thing on sad that no management presence or staff training they seemed uterrly demotivated such a contrast as I have eaten here frequently both in the Bistrot from the 90's on in the posh one over the last 50 years many many times but standards have seemly collapsed and disintegrated We ate with Vonnas locals who said this seems now to be the norm very very mediocre but they were too polite too stay, how sad, just a shame never again."
