"Today madrid is in the middle of Asian food madness, so always Chinese and very expensive sushi restaurants, with more streets and authentic offers such as ramen, bao bowls, dimsum and bahn mi. the zone zero of this rebirth of Asian food in madrid is the bar chuka ramen, a restaurant of ramen with class but without pretensions located a few steps from the neighborhood of the lyrics. the menu is the Japanese fusion, not super authentic but very tasty. snacks range from tofu to fresh oysters, plus bao bowls full of bao panceta and gyozas full of combinations such as scams and butifarra or cocoa mushrooms. the most popular ramen dish is, without a doubt, the shoyu ramen, a large bowl of dashi broth enriched with tasty mushroom enokitake, a piece of panceta, stools and a cooked egg. That's what we asked when we were there and went, far away, the best ramen I've ever tried in Madrid (which, we're going to be jotos, it's not hard to get! . the stock was very tasty, the noodles were perfectly tender and the panceta melted in the mouth. while we order the bao full of pork and hoisin sauce. It was a wonder, but the best part was the texture of the bread, not too sticky and not too abundant as it often happens in many restaurants in Madrid with the desire to rise to the bao fashion without having worked all the textures first. Finally, make sure you book before you leave. the restaurant is quite small and very popular, so if you want to get a table on a weekend night, you have to go or very early or book with a day or two in advance. Even if you're not hungry, I suggest you go for a drink. They have a very creative menu of cocktails that seems very interesting like for example a sochu agrio made with Japanese rice liqueur and yuzu and mujitos with perilla leaves, to name some."
