"It was our last night in Pondi and very hesitantly went to Satsang for a dinner and it proved to be not so good experience. Keeping a fancy name and lot of french names in the menu does not make a restaurant excellent one. Other than the ambiance nothing was there to boast upon. Not recommended as there are much more better cafes and restaurants around. Location: It is in the Labourdonnais Street in White Town area of the city and quite close to the beach. Refer google maps for more accurate location. Parking: There is road side parking available for those coming by their own two or four wheelers. "The hotel is right next to the toll booth ... it's a very good place for a good and really filling afternoon meal ... be careful: have a good afternoon siesta after that co-ur goes down !! <br>
Tried their non-vegetarian meal ... price at 120 ... they have a full fish with sauce, a 3-4 piece chicken sauce (although the chicken was a bit old), a dry potato curry and a vegetable curry, buttermilk ... topped with unlimited rice .... <br>
Ordered a Praws Masala Sauce for side dishes ... masala was cooked perfectly with a good amount of shrimp pieces ... price at 120 ... great ... <br>
Overall the food was worth the money ..... good food ... just a little far from the capital Pondy ... but ideal for a traveler from Chennai ..."

"This place is in Auroville and has a beautiful ambience. The restaurant is facing pool side, which has a mango tree in the middle. One can enjoy their food and drinks beside the pool view. It is a peaceful place which serves delicious food as well. <br>

King prawns- They were just Yum! I love prawns and they serve some delicious prawns????????<br>
Pondicherry cassolette- It is one of their best dishes. It is a curry full of all kinds of sea food (crab, prawn, fish, squid). If you are a seafood fan, then it is a MUST HAVE! I loved this dish.<br>
Vegetarian biryani- This biryani is a good option for vegetarians.<br>
The quantity of the food served is very good.<br>
We had also ordered Homemade iced tea, fresh lime soda and watermelon juice. The iced tea was really refreshing.<br>
And if you are a cat fan, you will enjoy the company of a beautiful cat which just roams around the place. You can even share your food with the cat. I just fell in love with it. <br>

"We visited this place to try some French dishes. It's like being in a grand palace, a restaurant with various seating areas - outside, AC restaurant and bar. We should even visit the innovative washroom here, which has a washbasin that can be operated on foot. Interesting! :) <br>

We wanted to try grilled calamari but it wasn't available. <br>
We ordered French onion soup - not sure if it is the authentic French soup but if so I would suggest not to try. It's just herbal water with sliced onions. The cheese crouton was moist and not tasty. <br>
Grilled Tiger Prawns with Lemon Caper Butter Sauce - There was a side of lemon risotto. The prawns were tasty, but the risotto was dry and tough. <br>
Tawa Fried Fish - It came with a side of mashed potatoes. Tasted hot and good. <br>

"Not a great place to be in a white city ... <br>
Food is ok, ok, service is slow too. The hotel is dimly lit and the ambience is poor. <br>
The pizza we ordered was really big ... pineapple and cheese based ... but very bland. <br>
Grape juice was ok ... but papaya was like milkshake and very bad ... <br>
The French food - a fish with finger chips - was well done ..."
