"I stopped in on a cloudy winter weekday and the service and food were spectacular. I was first in and received attentive and not overbearing service. I was last out and had the waiter share with me his favorite after dinner drink. I had the...seafood appetizer which could easily have fed four. Priced for Miraflores. I'm glad I made it there if only for the Pisco Sours!"

"We walked from our hotel to the Huaca pucllana archeological site and decided to ditch the site's restaurant for being too fancy. On the walk back we saw La Gorda and while looking at the menu on the window, the head chef/owner walked out, answered...our questions and offered the 3 course daily special. I had Champiñones al ajillo (garlic mushrooms), merluza a la romana (fried sea bass with tomatoes), and opted for an espresso as dessert. The menu included a glass of wine which was dry and paired the fish beautifully. The coffe came with a marshmallow and chocolate treat wich was a nice palate cleanser. The portions were just right and they kept bringing slices of bread to the table as we consumed it. The 3 course menu with wine was about 9 USD, which makes this a Bang for your buck (or Sol) without any frills. I'd definitely recommend La Gorda to anyone."

"I have lived in Lima for 12 years and this is the best seafood restaurant in Lima. It is also popular with the locals and it is not expensive. We are regular customers. The only suggestion for the restaurant is that they offer some non seafood options. My GF loves seafood, but sometimes I want a hamburger."

"We tried Punto Azul in the evening based on a recommendation from the Hilton concierge and we were not disappointed. Excellent ceviche that included some lobster and lots of octopus. It was mouthwatering good. We also had Spaghetti con Mariscos and Arroz con Mariscos, both of which were outstanding. Prices were higher by Peru standards but very reasonable for the U.S.A generous serving of ceviche with octopus and lobster was 45 soles or $15us. Highly recommend Punto Azul and wish we had been able to go twice!"

"In what a very large private house must have been, with many remaining original features, a good old-fashioned neighborhood restaurant is now accommodated. Creole and Peruvian, the fish was really fresh and perfectly balanced in the cebiche and the spices right in the...Chupe de Langostinos. Simple, helpful service and many smiles gave the real feeling that they see us and help us navigate the SPanish menu. Nothing nice, but then it doesn't try."

"I'm sorry to say this but, it was the best steak I've ever had! Granted it was the most expensive, but from my experience of eating at an Argentinian restaurant in Santiago on many an occasion, this steak beat any previous steak I've tried hands down! Cost me an arm and a leg though."
