"I had my first Plateau Fruits de Mer in La Rochelle 26 years ago so it was high priority on a recent visit. After considering those on offer we decided on Le Bar Andre as it looked to offer the best value.I went for the Royal platter and enjoyed it - the oysters were particularly good, lobster and langoustines nicely cooked and whelks were surprisingly good, Im not usually a fan. However after finishing I was still a little hungry, its far from the biggest plat Ive had. My wife chose a rib steak and was very unimpressed, nearly half of the steak was pure fat which left a lot to be desired.Its a huge restaurant but service was still good, we would return if the non fish menu was a little bigger and a little better."
