"Whilst on a cycling trip along the Mediterranean coastline, I decided to visit and overnight in the beautiful town of Cassis. My visit coincided with the annual Fete de Music and France beating Peru in their second World Cup game so the town was already...buzzing. Not being familiar with Cassis and as I was ambling around looking for somewhere nice to eat, I heard great music coming from a tiny little side street which was seemingly jammed with diners and glamorous revellers. A nearby table magically became free and I was lucky enough to grab it. Every table was filled with smiling faces, all either treating themselves to the plat du jour, classy pizzas or steak tartare the house specialty. Fabrice and his amazingly hard working staff recommended a mozzarella salad and their tartare. He proudly suggested his local, house red to accompany what turned out to be a delicious meal. No wonder it’s their specialty. I’ve rarely seen a restaurant combine and maintain such high standards of services despite cuisine when surrounded by such joyful scenes of celebration. One of my most memorable nights so far. Great food, ambiance and all served with panache. Fabrice runs a tight ship highly recommended."

"When I read the comments I feel like I’m making a restaurant mistake. But unfortunately not. Sandwiches ordered to take over 1 p.m. on some cutters but they can change and charge you the same price of the most expensive sandwich order, in short the scam. The worst and the sandwich in itself makes without love even worse with disgust in the face of the person who prepares them. The horrible taste apart from olive oil to replace butter, look at the photo of the piece of mozzarella finds at the bottom of the bag seen the weight, the compacted ham, the just bread of the old. Basically no luck on this address if you want to eat a sandwich made the same simpler and 4 times cheaper. The shame of the Food this address."

"Reserved a table for a summer evening meal as a family. Although service was very friendly, it took minutes to be able to order drinks and another to see them appear, not cold enough either. The restaurant was far from being full but...waitresses seem busier chatting with their friends than looking after their customers. Once food arrived hour and minutes after we sat down), it was very inconsistent in quality. Nice carpaccio and pizette, average bolognese, and lasagnas and raviolis that may as well have come straight out of a microwave oven. Needless to say we didn’t try the desserts. The euros (two small bottles of beer) removed from the bill as an apology for the wait wasn’t exactly a grand gesture out of a bill of euros. Try something else, there are plenty of other nice places in Cassis’backstreets. Even if we had not waited that long, the food is not worth the price list."
