"I want to rate this higher, it tasted great at the first bite or two until I noticed all the oil. Most of the food was soaking in it. Maybe there was a mistake or maybe this just wasn't the dish for me."

"Very cute place. Food was great! I took the tour and my girlfriend got the cheese ravioli. The bread was top notch as well! Side salads are in a small bowl thats tough to eat out of would be my only negative. And the salad was bitter (old spotted lettuce) and lightly dressed. But everything else was amazing. Can't wait to fo back!"

"Absolutely amazing!. I just visited Villa Capri and honestly cannot understand how someone could write a bad review of this restaurant! It is a small family business and perhaps people who did not like it to be used for the canned and frozen food from chain restaurants. Everything I ate was delicious and completely fresh. The garlic bread was to die and the waitress warned me that there would be a lot of butter, so I just asked for slightly baked garlic bread and it was perfect. The salad was delicious and I'm not sure what was in the dressing, but I just can't seem to review it, no matter how hard I try! Then I have my steak. Oh, my God, it was perfection. It was perfectly seasoned and completely juicy and delicate. The lasagna I ordered as a supplement was a perfect addition to the steak. I had the spumoni for the desert. When it came out as pink ice, I was quite surprised, but the waitress informed me that it was a Villa Capri exclusive recipe that could not be found anywhere in the world! I found it a perfect end to an absolutely delicious meal. On our way out, I gave to my wife who sat us. It turns out that she was the owner of the restaurant and she was just wonderful! I will be back very soon and look forward to the excellent food and service I enjoyed so much!"

"Hired Sweet Basil to cater our small wedding. Food was served buffet style and was excellent. Shelly is not always quick to respond but when she does she takes care of everything that's needed. The staff working our reception did an excellent job and were very nice to work with. The vegetarian lasagna is incredibly good!"

"The dining room has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were kind and helpful. The menu has something for everyone. They have homemade garlic bread that is phenomenal. The minestrone soup was well served with a temp that would allow eating right away. The antipasto salad was delicious with the house Italian dressing.the food has an amazing homemade taste with an authentic Italian flavor. This has been my favorite stop in the Upper Peninsula this far. A hidden gem."

"I ordered in and sweet basil delivered a delicious and healthy meal that I was able to eat for several days. I recommend the olivenhahnade it is excellent! my order included even two beers of barrel beam that came in beautiful glass bottles. I do not often think about the order of sweet basil catering co, but I will do it again."
