"We wandered around Chantemerle trying to find somewhere to eat that wasn't ridiculously expensive this is the French Alps after all) and came across Kitzbuhel. There were 4 of us and 2 ordered pizza, the other 2 went for the fixed price local menu €24 for 3 courses) and the local menu came up trumps. Really excellent salad to start with local cheese and cured ham then and excellent lamb shank for main. The pizza's looked good too but the bases didn't seem homemade if you are concerned about that. Really friendly staff and a good meal out."

"Very good food, especially Lasagne, Tartiflette and Hamburger/Cheeseburger. Calvados with hot apple juice and Monaco drink are brilliant. If you want to eat something delicious and not so expensive just go there"
