"Great pasta dinner and a selection of sliced meats. Also had many pizza options. They had something for everyone. A good choice if you have kids. If you order a bottle of wine, you go in the back to pick one out with your server. I wasn’t prepared for that. Desserts were big. This was a filling dinner. Good service."

"Vannes doesn't have a great number of Italian restaurants, perhaps not surprising in the land of Crepes, but I think currently the best of the few it has is the Villa Romana. A traditional Italian restaurant, run by genuine Italians who don't seem to have changed the menu or decor since the 1970s, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if that's what you are after. For those without vertigo the outside tables on top of the town walls give a great view. It does get very busy and at weekends definitely worth booking in advance."
