"Disappointed for various reasons. The restaurant was empty when we arrived yet there was a question after we were seated as to switching tables as they were expecting to be full. It was hardly the case by the time we finished dining 2 hrs). We ordered various apps: cauliflower latke, lasooni kebabs, entrees: malai kofta, chicken korma, stuffed paneer lababdar, and cochin black pepper chicken. Cauliflower latkes were 3 1-inch patties that had a crispy exterior but otherwise were tasteless and mushy. The accompanying cranberry chutney was not balanced. 2 variety of samosa seemed as they were from the frozen section of a grocery store lacked filling and bland. The lasooni kebabs were tender but lacked the garlicky flavor the name implied. We were told black pepper chicken was spicy hence we ordered it it was not spicy at all and portion was size of a squab. The korma was very mild but the chicken was tender. Koftas were 4 balls in a mild curry without any real Indian spice flavors. Paneer was not stuffed as name implied but the curry had balance. The naan were bit burnt and flat. The mojito was like watery lemonade without flavor. Overall would not recommend this restaurant if you want bold Indian flavors."

"We visited Indian Summer after we googled Indian Food in Kandy as we were craving it badly. We ordered mutton rogan gosh 3 nights in a row! it was prepared by the Delhite chefs so well. Special shout out to AFWAN who served us on all 3 occasions, and made sure the food has zero spice in it. The naans were so perfect we ordered more, the steam rice was so fresh and soft. The tandoori chicken (half portion is 4 pieces) was tasty and succulent, it was well marinated. I also had a lime juice and plain lassi. Butter chicken on another night was great too. Im surprised at the bad ratings here. But our experience was great. Bill attached for one of the nights we were there (18,19,20 April 2023), for a family of 4 adults roughly LKR 10k-12k every night. AC was blasting chill, a saving grace from the heat in Kandy the days we were there."
