"Not impressed at all. Food is warm, but still staff are miserable as ever, I work in a restaurant myself. Do 50-60 hours and I still smile. I’m not sure anymore, where’s the menu? It’s so changed, and for the worse."

"We arrived at our booking time of 7:30 and were seated promptly and ordered drinks, shortly after we ordered food. Two starters took an hour to come, we had to chase them for it. Mains then arrived at 10, after having to chase them for it again. Hardly any communication from the staff, waitresses are very unprofessional and treat you like a friend (not in a good way) rather than a customer paying for a meal. Waitresses look confused a lot of time too and seem like they don’t understand what they should be doing. Food was good and the only saving grace was the manager. When we asked for the bill a £30 service charge was added which we refused quickly. We asked to speak to the manager, we had to wait 10 minutes to speak to him because the waitress forgot to tell him and I had to find him. We got 50% off the bill. We’ve been to Middletons a few times, and the last time we went there were issues too, seems like they never get resolved and something needs to change asap!"

"This is an edit of my previous review. I think there was originally some confusion with the staff over whether honey was vegan and the chocolate flavour used honey as the sweetener, but a steady stream of Leicester vegans made a difference and they changed the recipe! Now there always seems to be one vegan chocolate sorbetto, and sometimes chocolate orange or some other variant. At the moment they're also serving a coconut flavour which is very creamy and a good foil to the other, more intense flavours, but since the flavours change regularly I don't know how long that will stay a fixture in the cabinet. Other than that, the fruit flavours are very good. I've tried strawberry, melon blueberry, kibana (kiwi banana), mixed red berry, fig, pineapple, blood orange, tangerine, er... I forget the others! The things that stopped me giving this place a 5 score were that it's not entirely vegetarian I was told the glaze on one of the cakes is gelatine, so veggies beware. They have now started labelling the vegan options but the sorbets and ice cream are next to each other so although each one has it's own scoop it might not be the best choice for those with a dairy allergy in terms of cross contamination."

"Our food was served cold, asked for no salad dressing but the salad arrived with dressing, the drinks order had to be requested a second time and then only half arrived the rest 5 minutes later. A poor experience."

"We had another lovely meal here on Saturday evening. It was busy but we were looked after brilliantly by Ana and her brother Milui. What a hard working pair and so smiley and pleasant. They are a credit to the business."

"First time here. We had crispy chicken, prawns and nachos as starters. The batter on the crispy chicken was lovely as was the sauce that they were covered in. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the sauce on the prawns was lovely too. The nachos were serviceable nothing special. For mains I ordered the ribs. These were cooked perfectly and the portion was humongous! The meat just came off the bone. Was very filling. The restaurant can be very busy so best to book a table in advance. The restaurant is hmc certified. There is also a prayer area available. Also if you park at the ncp next door be sure to present your ticket to a member of staff and you'll get your parking validated for £1"
