"After seeing there was a new Filipino restaurant in the area, we were thrilled to try it out. The ambiance is a little weird as it's an order at the counter type of place but the lighting makes it seem more like a date night type of place. If they had the more typical waiter system, it would feel a bit better. We had the lumpias, chicken adobo, and forgot what it was called but a chicken dish similiar to the adobo but with a coconut sauce I believe. The lumpias were good but there was only 2 and for $7-$8, it was overpriced. I think 4 would have felt good to pay for. The chicken adobo tasted mainly of straight soy sauce. The other coconut dish didn't really taste like it had any flavor/seasoning. Both dishes were essentially the same with the only difference being the soy sauce for the adobo. The chickens for both tasted like they were boiled. Searing the skin would go a long way I believe. The sauces were too liquid-y as well, a thicker sauce would be welcomed so it stays on the chicken. There was no tap water either besides bottled water. A little thing but something we're all accustomed to having. Overall, was pretty disappointed with some of the pricing and flavors. It was their first week so they're definitely working things out and we're open to trying them again in the future. For reference, we frequented Isla Filipina (which we loved every dish) every other week when they were open a few years ago and have frequented a friend's mom's homemade filipino food growing up. Unsure if this restaurant just has a different style than what I'm used to for adobo and lumpias?"
