"I would not recommend this place to anyone. We arrived all 6 of us. Selected our entrees and main meals and only after complaining did our entrees arrive - an hour later. All the take-away customers were receiving their orders whilst those sitting down to have a meal had to wait. It took over an hour to receive our main meals. We won't be coming back to dine as the service is terrible."

"My husband told me he had found the best dim sims and that was a title no longer held by South Melbourne dim sims. I was dubious, because Sth Melbourne markets are really awesome, but he was right. At Tao, they make their own dim sims, including the skins. You can have them fried or steamed, but I preferred steamed. For mains we had pork spare ribs with special sauce and 8 treasure steamed duck. The sauce on the pork was closer to a traditional sweet and sour sauce with a mild chilli flavour. It was amazing and very tender. The duck dish included seafood, steamed chicken and vegetables and according to my husband, the meal was indeed a treasure. The prices were really good and the quality of our dishes was outstanding. There was a steady stream of customers whilst we were there and many were dining in as we did. The owner was incredibly friendly and happy to have a chat. You can also buy frozen dim sims to take home to feed your secret addiction. What a gem!"

"Best Chinese takeaway in Melbourne! Chicken w cashews is fresh, clean, tasty and full of cashews. Black bean beef is tender, tasty and no sign of oil. Prawn toasts are crisp and tasty. Cafe is small, minimal and clean. Prices are great value."

"Come here for family dinners at least once a fortnight. Family friendly place and our kids love the Peking Duck, great choice of dumplings and steak dishes. The service is friendly and efficient They also allow BYO (very rare these days)"

"Over many years my family, friends and I have been patronising Chun Po, enjoying the superb food and friendly service. Some of our favourite dishes - ones we have ordered again and again over the years and found the quality consistently good, include: Crisp-skinned Chicken, San Choi Bao, Spicy Deep-fried Garfish, Japanese Silken Tofu with Vegetables, Chicken with Fresh Chestnuts in Claypot, Whole Deep-fried Flounder, and my sister's favourite Whitebait Omelette. The menu is extensive, and I've never been disappointed by anything ordered. And we always appreciate the complimentary fresh fruit that is brought to the table with the bill!"
