"Forgot to book but was given 2 seats at the bar . All staff where very hospitable especially the knife and fork lady. We could see the meals going out and where very courious as to what they where as it all looked to good...and we are in hospitality. Food was fabulous, then we went to deli lots of fabulous food will definitely recommend and will definitely return"

"We love Bendigo and visit often, certainly for every Art Gallery exhibition. This time it was a brief visit on the way further north, on Thursday before Easter. We decided to have a quick early lunch at the Gallery Cafe, and hoped we could get a seat as it's always very busy. To our surprise there were only a couple of outdoor tables in the sun occupied, and only one table inside. The menu and food choices had changed, and we're very limited for a light lunch. Mainly all full meals priced around $22 +, or a hot cross bun, or tartlet. The tartlet was tiny, three small bites, and cost $8. Water which had been requested did not arrive, nor did the cutlery needed, nor serviettes. I wonder where the decision lies to have chosen to completely change the previously very successful format of reasonably priced and tasty light meals, focaccias, fresh gourmet sandwiches, salads and quiches etc."
