"I think they're trying to be vegan friendly, what is commendable, but the description on their menu didn't agree what was served. I have the filled butternut quash. unfortunately it was a filled pumpkin (not a butternut quash), and I could not find any spinat or seeds mentioned in the description. (Look at the picture I have published, and you will see what I mean also the homemade vegan aioli was only mayonnaise; I couldn't taste a garlic at all. I don't want to be overly picky, but menus exist so that people can make an informed choice. the court to be true. the menu must change to fit the dish, or vice versa, or at least the server must inform the customer about how the dish will deviate from the menu. I would probably have ordered the vegan burger if I knew what this dish was actually. it is a beautiful and more lively place, and I hope they work through these problems because they could be a good option for vegans who travel through kaikoura."
