"We visited Glendale Gardens today, and after exploring the lush and beautiful grounds, we stopped for a late lunch in this charming and unpretentious cafe. It’s part of the Gardens but you can visit the cafe without entering the gardens (if wonderful gardens aren’t your...thing). The menu (breakfast and lunch only) is limited but really appealing. We tried the oatmeal pancakes; eggs with potatoes, herbs and spices; and the green pie. Everything was fresh, healthy and presented beautifully, adorned with edible flowers and fresh greens out of the garden. We sat outside under a beautiful arbor and vines, and enjoyed the sights and scents of a great atmosphere and local food. A perfect afternoon, and a great place to show off the charms of our beautiful locale to visitors."

"Was a nice affordable breakfast! I got an iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was fresh and on great bread. The staff was very friendly and fun to chat with."

"Simply amazing. We had a long wait as we did not make reservations and there were 12 of us!!!! When a table came available, I asked the waiter if we didn't get done by the time the Lighted Truck Parade went by could we go out on the patio to watch it? He said absolutely, but he was sure they could get us out before it started. 12 of us all fed and happy out watching the truck parade in just over an hour!!!!! And they gave us complementary appies for our long wait in line!!!! Best customer service I've experienced in a long time. Thank you sooooo much."

"Great place in downtown Victoria for breakfast, lunch or brunch (closes at 2 or 3 pm depending on the day of the week). Good assortment of dishes and drinks at a reasonable price. COVID-19 protocols are in place and I observed cleaning following COVID standards....I was at the Johnson Street location and had the salmon bennie on bagels which was excellent. Sorry for those of you who don't like the West Coast's cooked capers. Staff were friendly and attentive. This is a good place for one, some friends or a family."
