"We thought we’d try their ramen. Their computer order system was efficient and easy to navigate. My husband ordered the tonkotsu ramen but I opted for their noodle bowls. I ordered their salmon noodle bowl. I had soba noodles with wood ear mushrooms, avocado, sautéed and fresh red onions, on a bed of crisp lettuce, with some wasabi soy dressing. It was very refreshing and flavorful. My husband’s tonkotsu ramen had a flavorful balanced broth with noodles that just the right elasticity to go with the broth and the other ingredients. This place is definitely a keeper. We now have a new go-to for Japanese noodles."

"Stopped by on a Saturday mid-afternoon, and it wasn’t busy at all. The chicken pho was really good! I loved the depth of the broth and that they use a slightly wider noodle in the chicken pho compared to their beef pho. They also have the cornish hen dish here that was fried well and crispy."

"The Scampi here was the best meal I’ve eaten on a three week vacation through central California. The ocean view is amazing and the service was also great. It’s a bit pricy for sure, but in my opinion it’s fair value. My wife is vegetarian and they had a very good vegetable tower entree."

"While the grilled chicken sandwiches were okay (they had some kind of spices on them that took away from the grilled flavor of the chicken), we were disappointed that one can't order a sandwich by itself. One has to pay more for something they don't want. We don't eat a lot of fried foods and if one has to order it with a side, it would be nice to have a healthier option like a salad or coleslaw. The burgers and sandwiches served here come with fries or for an additional amount, can be ordered with sweet potato fries or onion rings. The sweet potato fries were at least good, but the onion rings were HORRIBLE! They tasted like processed frozen rings that were heated up."

"I never liked this place since the day it reopened. This place was always a General Store in a small little town in the Berkshires with a little of everything including a smile. Nowadays, it has become, or might I say trying to become, a snooty overpriced trendy cafe of sorts. The previous general store was for everyone in the community, locals now can't afford it nor can they stand and wait 20 minutes for a sandwich. I know it is struggling, but hey, the writing is on the wall. The coffee is worse than horrible. They lie and say that there bread was made this morning when it can be up to a week old and refrigerated. Etc... I want to have a general store in Monterey as much as everyone else but I for one just drive right by and go into Great Barrington."
