"Metro is such a consistent and reliable restaurant. If you are hungry and short on time, you can get a good, fast, filling meal in the subway. Their quality is clearly visible in their meatballs. The subway has a steam bottom of meatballs that migrate into tomato sauce,... unlike some competitors who have a pack of frozen meatballs when preparing the equivalent sandwich microwave."

"Good taste and combinations! We ordered for takeout 4 maki rolls. The Philadelphia roll was very tasty. The L.A. role and Aurora were both very similar but had good taste. The Red dragon was perfect with lettuce and shrimp tempura and with the Salmon sashimi topping! The only complaint is that the miso soup (which had a good recipe with curd cheese cubed in it) wasn’t included as it’s usually included in other sushi restaurants but here we had to pay extra for it. Generally the rolls were fresh and yummy."

"Legit, fresh, tasty seafood in big portions! The sauce on my lobster poutine was just a little cold, so it didn't melt the cheese curds on top. Clam chowder is packed with ingredients, very delicious. Calamari fries are well seasoned and very fresh. Yum!"

"Got the beef udon with a dynamite roll.The salad was good (romaine lettuce, not iceberg) with a variety of vegetables a lot of zesty dressing.Dynamite roll was decent, though plated nicely.Udon had carrot, onion, cabbage, a lot of beef, tempura bits, fish cake, seaweed, sweet beancurd asparagus. It was pretty tasty huge."

"I've been searching for a falafel that was as good as the one I had in New York City from a food stall that had line ups around the block. I found it and it's right here in Newmarket. The restaurant isn't fancy, but it's spotlessly clean. Service is friendly and there is an aura of pride in this place that shows in the way it's kept as well as the food. Great value for money, I'd recommend this for good quality food at a very reasonable price."

"The food was awful the menu seemed straightforward*. We ordered the sandwich wrap that comes with a side choice of fries or rice or add a salad for $4.99.I ordered the wrap. The waitress asked if I wanted fries rice or a salad. I asked what does the meal include she replied fries rice salad. When my bill came there was a $3.99 charge. I asked why I was charged for the salad she said my side was substituted with the salad. I then asked well why I didn’t get a side if I paid for the adding the salad she replied the menu was a bit confusing.I wouldn't recommend the chicken pita sandwich. The chicken pieces were too large for the pita and the sauce was very garlicky. It took over 1 hour to get our food."

"I can definitely see why this place has mixed reviews, but I would not hesitate to go back if I was in the area! First off, they operate by iPad, which is a feature I really appreciate in AYCE places. Once we had pressed order,...we received our first round of food in less than minutes so the service is SUPER fast. They have a lot of variety as well (sashimi, nigiri, rolls, hand rolls, teriyaki, tempura, calamari, fried and soup noodles, lots of ice cream variety, etc which was great! One thing I found a bit weird was the addition of lettuce in all the maki rolls, which I just haven't seen anywhere else and wasn't the biggest fan of. I also found it interesting that they would bunch different orders (noodles, beef, etc on the same plate, which would get awkward when trying to share with a large group of people because we would all be reaching over each other, and the food would end up mixing (which I personally didn't care about, but I can see why some people would find it odd). The quality of the food isn't amazing by any means, but it's not bad either and for an AYCE place, I honestly couldn't complain."
