"This place is a gem! We had heard that no other place had the best cecina (salted and dried meat) and longaniza (Spanish sausage similar to chorizo) in the city. Their cecina was not dry, it was even juicy with excellent flavor. The longaniza was perfectly seasoned with such an inviting aroma, and not greasy at all. To start we tried their "queso fresco" with several home made salsas that varied in taste and spiciness. The tortillas were the best I have ever had, also made by hand on the spot. I had their "taco campechano" and "taco de Cecina while some of my friends had "enchiladas verdes con cecina" and "chilaquiles con cecina". We delighted in every bite and wished we could have sampled other specialties. Their "agua de guayaba" was refreshing on this hot day. To top it off we followed the owner's recommendation and had their "paleta de cajeta", mouth watering and almost heavenly! Overall extremely satisfied and happy that we stopped by. Very nice and friendly atmosphere, very clean, bright and inviting. Couldn't say enough about the owner who spent a lot of time explaining the menu and talking about where their ingredients for their foods come from. Thank you so much Paulina!The area is also very safe, and you see a lot of people walking. Gives you a great sense of community when locals selling specialty mexican candy are welcomed to offer their goods. Neighbors helping neighbors and watching out for one another. Oh! And we also enjoyed listening to a trio singing and playing as they walked oytside on the street! Fun!"

"The meal was truly delicious, I had black cod with a very rich sauce, and the service was very attentive. Two cribs: One of our meals , also delicious , was served in a high sided bowl that made it really difficult to eat. We sat outside, a balmy evening, but inadvertently sat in the smokers' zone. Ugh! Ex smokers are hyper critical, and perhaps we could have been warned."
