"On a cold, rainy evening, we blew into this restaurant without a reservation, as it opened. Our host invited us in. This is her restaurant. On the night we visited, she made the food, served the food and waited on the tables. We started with...tiny, crunchy rolls that were seeds wrapped in seaweed. Delicious! That was followed by a garlic-leaf, cream-based soup. Dinner was pasta in truffle sauce for one, artichoke hearts and tofu for the other. There was so much flavor in every bite. Desserts were goat cheese pear and a plate of many individual tastes, from a fresh strawberry bursting with flavor to a (possibly vegan) mint gelato. This was not a meal it was an experience. Service was leisurely and friendly. Wine by the glass was excellent. The dinner was intimate, as there are only a few tables. Be prepared to pay cash, and please do not do as we did: please make a reservation."
