"Our daughter has brought to the gandy dancer for birthday. it is a beautiful and very unique building (former railway depot with stone walls, heavy wooden beams, fireplace and floor to cover windows with view of the gleise. somehow it makes a nice culinary experience seemingly casual and comfortable. the food was excellent from the warm rolls to the lumps crab cakes to the plank cooked salmon like the service. would definitely recommend."

"First, I called, but they have no reservations, only priority seats where they take your name and give you a time, but that still does not guarantee any place, but I did it anyway and my time was 7:15 so that we were sitting there and was sitting around 7:45p. I was greeted by the hostess at the entrance. My waitress was extremely attentive and always checked us. The manager also stopped and checked us. We had already looked over the menu, so we ordered immediately. I ordered the Atlantic salmon with asparagus and rice pilaf as well as the chicken tortilla soup that came with him. We also ordered the Black Rock Ribs, which add with the House Salad and Mac and Cheese as well as the 3 Jumbo Shrimps. They brought out the soup and salad first and they were both delicious and the perfect portion. After our order maybe about 20 minutes and the main course was brought out. The presentation as well as the taste was very good and everything was on point the portions were also the perfect size. The ambience and the surroundings were also cool. They still follow the safe distance protocol and I saw them that everything was sterilized after a table or a place at the bar was cleared. The only bad thing I would say that this is not really bad is that the floors were greasy and a few young women almost slipped at different times and went through the restaurant. All in all, though I love the Black Rock Ann Arbor location. I have visited other Black Rocks in Michigan, but Ann Arbor is my new favorite place!!!"
