"Service and atmosphere are great. The food is something that can be better. Than again, they do cater to tourists so if you are looking for anything authentic this place is not the place to go. We had the sopa de tortilla and it was way to creamy. Other than that the server was fun, the beer was cold, and the margaritas were good!! Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here. It was so good compared to eating subpar resort food all week. I loved the gnocchi with 4 cheese sauce. My husband had a pizza and said it was great as well. I absolutely loved the...atmosphere at night too! Its so lit up and colorful! Our waitress was on top of everything. I can't remember her name but she was from Argentina. I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Playa."

"Had a lovely meal here. It 's a short walk away from the main tourist area so we were served real Mexican food at a very reasonable price. Pepe, the manager, was very attentive and his recombination that we have the lobster tail special was a good one. Not a fancy restaurant but we were impressed."

"Visited Blue Lobster recently and it was excellent! Lobster tails brought to the table, pick the one you want and how you want it prepared and that's it. Simple. The lobster was prepared to perfection and served with veggies and rice with drawn butter and a delicious buttery garlicky cilantro sauce to die for.The Lobster pasta was also off the charts. The only downfall is the heat, this time of year. No A/C. They do have fans and ice cold beers (good selection) as well as cocktails. Highly recommend BLUE LOBSTER!"

"You need to go to Mr Marios it was nothing short of outstanding! We were tipped off by our cab driver about this place and really goes to show locals know best. We went twice and wish we went everyday. First day we ordered fish and guacamole with margaritas (the best margarita in town- many places in playa we found watered down or diluted and overly sweet- Mr Marios was perfecto!) The second visit the marinated octopus was recommended to us- it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. My husband had the oysters they were fresh and delicious. Thank you Mr Marios for a wonderful true Mexican experience couldn't recommend more:)"

"My husband and I have been going to Playa for many years and seen so many changes happening some good some ok but this is a excellent addition. It's located on 5th avenue but above it on second floor so you get a great view you can also sit in the front and they have the windows that slide open but it is smoking area not bad very breezy. They have delicious dirty martinis they come in beautiful frozen martini glasses it's yummy blue cheese. Our server was Juan Luis and Max they were easy to talk to and very insightful had great suggestions. The wine menu is also extensive with so many good varieties. When you are looking at the menus they come around with the cart of different cuts of steaks and all of the different seafoods it just is a little more unique than most steak housesThe portion of the salads are grand enough to share which is good because once you get your steak you will want to eat it all. We had the surf and turf and we split it the portion was perfect and they filet the lobster tail which makes you think hmmmm but let me say it's yummmmThere is also a surprise at the end so I won't give it away and that will make you want to go in and find outAll in all it was absolutely marvelous can't wait to go back I hope Juan Luis and max are still there"
