"We used to come here often, but for various reasons fell out of favor with us. Began the night planning to go somewhere else only to learn they were closed for remodeling. Decided to give the Metropolitan another go. Really glad we did. Recently under new management. The atmosphere has always been fabulous. Was glad to see Neal behind the bar once again. The service was great from Mason at the front door to our waiter Baylor. Started the evening with coctails both made to perfection. We had the specials for dinner barramundi and sea bass. Both were fabulous. The chocolate pot di creme was a fitting end to the meal. Good selection of wine by the glass and bottle. The specials were pretty pricey, but we'll still add the restaurant back to our rotation."

"Only from 40 and worth the detour. Service was top notch and friendly. Seafood gumbo, catfish and pasta dishes were great. They bring mini samples of different Cajun dishes and everyone was brilliant, we wished space for dessert."

"The taste is genuine but not exceptional. The service is good and the portions may not be proportional to your expectations but I found them generous. There is a sampler for new customers. I strongly recommend that you try the sauces before settling for an entree. If you're an experienced Cajun gourmand or a newbie you will not be surprised when your plate is served."
