"A great meal with great service! Wanted a table w/a view but a couple was seated by the window so they could get a great view the window blinds were pulled low. Didn’t get the view! Prepare for a very long walk from the main entrance all the way to the restaurant after paying $34 for valet!"

"The worst place I’ve ever been in the Asheville area. Here’s why… We came for 1st NFL game of season, so the bar area was busy. This should be anticipated for a sports bar. But the staff seemed totally unaware that this would be a busy night. We waited 15-minutes to be acknowledged at all, after my husband got up and found someone. Then, there was a keg issue with the beer. This wouldn’t be a big deal, except apparently every beer we ordered for the rest of the night had a keg issue according to our server. Average time from drink order to delivery on an on-tap beer was 15 min. And the food? Well, if my husband wasn’t an avid bucs fan wanting to watch the game, we would have left. But we stayed, ordered ahi, then when it was terrible we tried to order safe and got a hot dog and a burger. Both were cold and flavorless with cold fries on the side. Hot dog (pictured) wad basically not edible. Our poor server tried. It seemed like she was running ragged the whole time and she tried to be accommodating. But with a manager nowhere in site on such a busy bar night and such terrible food coming out of the kitchen, I have to assume the place is mismanaged. Go elsewhere. This place is a joke."

"My friend researched restaurants to celebrate my birthday knew it had to be maine lobster. the background on this restaurant was perfect, but the reality was disappointing. my lobster roll was filled with salat, with lobster pieces on top. I get more lobsters from the lobster truck of the cousin, for half the price! the server was great. I hope the owners/partners take to know that this could be a great restaurant, but it needs some attention. it is wonderful to get maine lobster in asheville, but the small details can make a restaurant or break."

"My man and I were in a nearby hotel and decided to stop in the first night for convenience. the food was so good that we eat here two nights in order during our stay. we sat fast and our dinner was served immediately. matt was our waitress both nights and he was exceptional. he has offered us service they would like to get in any restaurant. he was polite, informatiw and has a great personality. matt, thanks to many!"

"The atmosphere was noteworthy — warm and lively without being crowded, a fire going on the patio, a nice volume level. A wonderful space for a date night or celebration dinner. The service was good — what you’d expect for an establishment of that caliber. The food was, sadly, a serious letdown — we tried 6 dishes and found only 1 of them to be worth ordering again. The mussels were truly spectacular, perfectly done with a flavorful and interesting broth. Unfortunately, everything else disappointed. The radicchio and gnocchi were both very one-note and lacked balance, the pork chop was significantly over-salted, and the chocolate tres leches and beef tartare were mediocre. Not what we expected from the admiral at all, and quite a bummer!"
