"The place is nice and quiet, spacious but intimate.What we loved most about this place, was the service, we had a very nice and communicative waiter.The food was good but not excellent as we expected, at least the one we tried.We had oysters, crab paté, codfish dumplings for starters and scorpionfish with migas for main course. What we enjoyed most out of these, were the crab paté and migas. The rest were not bad, but not good either, it always seemed that the food had something missing, you couldn't find a special aroma.Last, we tried the portuguese pudding, wich is a romanian creme brulee, and it was ok; and pastel de nata, wich was very delicious , but it seemed to be one of those frozen desserts that they put in the microwave oven.It didn't seem freshly made...otherwise, very nice texture and taste.For all of these, plus 2 glasses of wine, we payed 700 lei, wich is not a big price for that area, but personally i would preffer paying more and have a better quality of the food."

"Mid range food and service. Overpriced menu, the dishes looks good but the final result is mid range. The lobster risotto was good+, the lobster wasn’t fresh enough. The iberico pig dish was ok, the meat was a bit chewy. *Horrible* Trance music which doesn’t go side by side with the food. There is a charge for the bread and butter, you find out it only when you pay the bill and it will appear in the middle so you won’t notice it on the first site. The service fee is already on the bill."

"Here the predominant factor is excellence. The food is exceptional. However i had seen something which i think is create low quality service. First time when i went here the waitress said the full name and description of each served food. Second time another waitress said something very difficult to understand and surely not all description. A shrinked version. Not so good."

"The ribs here are excelent. Tender just the way they should be. Have them with wedges, they are better the the normal french fries. They come with a special carrot salad that tastes just great. Also, the Tiramisu was very good."

"It took me more than 13 years to write a review for Gallo Nero, but to be honest I starter late this feedback approach... I return to Gallo Nero few times a month with joy and impatience for a tasty food. From carpaccio, to pasta, meat, fish and deserts, nothing can be, never was anything else than delicious. Try the cacciucco calabrese and the apple tart with vanilla merengue when available exquisite!"
