"I am unsure of why exactly but I suspect that having many poke places in California and in such close proximity, as well, as the fact that here in America good ideas are collectivized and used by many cultures. I present to you my favorite dish from Hanabi Sushi would be their Sashimi Salad: a great example of what they can do with regards to delicious ingredients. I would also suggest their Unagi Don as well for anyone who wants to have something a little more hardier. The sauce alone is divinely inspired I reckon. I enjoy the environment as it is conducing to relaxation and contemplation despite often being busy with eager and hungry customers. Treat yourself with a fresh and tasteful meal you deserve!"

"Reading previous reviews, we were looking forward to having a wonderful dinner. We made reservations for 6:30pm as this was Mother's Day. We arrived early and there was a lines out the door. 3 parties for 6:30pm were waiting outside including us. We got our table around 7pm. There was someone playing playing an electronic keyboard by the door. He had an odd array of music for an Italian restaurant. He went from Oye Coma Va by Santana to Fernando by Abba. He had the back instruments play through the keyboard. He would sing at times too. Streaming music from computer would be more appropriate. Anyway, we ordered the highly touted garlic bread as the appetizer followed by the boneless short ribs. We waited 20 minutes and still no garlic bread. A table seated after us received theirs before us. Their waiter apologized for their bread arriving late and said it would be comped. Owura was much later with no apology. The short ribs came and seemed on the chewy side. I mentioned to my girlfriend that the varied music and the service reminded of being on a cruise or at a casino. We wanted to try the lemoncello for dessert but as slow everything came, we had it to go. That was the best part of the dinner. I'd give the dessert 4 out of 5. Then the garlic bread 3 out of 5. The short ribs a 2 out of 5. Service and ambience 1.5 out of 5. I wish it was better but hope it will improve in time."

"Delicious seafood, the sauce is absolutely amazing. Staff it's friendly and the price is good! Also I took my ring off for the messy feast and ended up forgetting it there. I came back the next day and they had it put away for me. I really appreciate the honesty."
