"Arrived in the deli to have a long cozy lunch to celebrate my other half 66th birthday. the waitress that served us had no idea how to wait tables, nor what was on the menu. we ordered 2 meeres fruits buckets with bread....Why said that the meeress was not on camp after waitress had gone to order through. disappointed ordered 2 crooked sandwiches instead. the brot was served and had to reject this if not in stock as an original order, but on the menu board. it seemed that the crab sandwiches were brought from the next door into sandwich packages. totally disappointed, felt really involuntary and that we only pay £9.50 for a crab sandwich because we didn't pay for the name quality! gott help everyone to visit in the height of the summer! no care."

"Quite a nice Chinese, but a bit hit miss. Duck was nice, so was a few of the other bits. But prawn balls a few other bits were lacking in taste. I have given the place a generous 4 star only cos couldn't give a 3.5."

"Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Without a doubt one of the worst dining experiences in a long time. There was no ambience whatsoever, and the service was lacklustre at best. For a restaurant in such a popular place, in a great location, how can they get it...so wrong. The starters were fine, but the main could have been better if they had served a supermarket microwave meal. Bland, tasteless, and clearly reheated from frozen. I had the shellfish chowder. It was gross. No flavour, and frankly an embarrassment. My wife had the fish and chips, and whilst the batter was ok, the fish had no flavour at all. The menu highlighted allotment grown vegetables not sure I have ever seen asparagus and French beans grown in December. We did mention to the one waitress on shift, and were given the fish and chips for free. For a bill of this was questionable. What a shame. The place could be amazing, but clearly standards have slipped. We were not alone, of the other tables tonight, complained. Says it all really. There are lots of better options in Newquay, let's hope someone with real passion takes this on soon."

"You have to taste this typical English food on the vegan version. we are not big fans of deep fried meals so we knew what was coming, but still the vegan version is a good alternative and the banana flower was a beautiful surprise."

"We love this Inn and the food and we and our friends travelled a considerable distance for the meal.The meal was ok.We were in the restaurant and the door to the outside area was open. Another customers dog outside barked on and off and sometimes continuously during our meal which completely ruined the experience.I complained to a staff member who did nothing and neither did the owner.We won’t ever return to this inn who has already missed out on hundreds of pounds of custom from us."

"We did the wine tasting followed by the Sunday lunch in November 2022. We have drunk their wines many times and to learn about the grapes and the method was very interesting. Their sparkling wines rival a good champagne In my opinion they are better than many). The food was delicious and plentiful. You will not leave here hungry. The waiting staff were all very polite and friendly. It is a super place for a relaxing lunch."

"This is the first time we have been to Raffertys , but will certainly return. The service was efficient , friendly and helpful. They made us extremely welcome with our small dog. The food was absolutely excellent, especially the fillet steak, which was perfect. The whole vibe is relaxed and cheerful but also efficient and professional. We will be back next time we are in Cornwall ."

"You need to book in advance to get a table. Unfortunately, we were not able to book in advance. However, we were accommodated by their staff, and they asked us if it was okay that the table didn’t have a sea view. We immediately said no problem, since we went there for the food. We were very pleased since me and my friends are really hungry We ordered their scallops, crispy sesame chicken, chowder, King prawn and catch of the day. They were all exquisite!! we were happy with the chowder! I was just surprised with the serving of the scallops but overall, it was tasty! The staff were excellent, the location wise- accessible, the food was delicious, serving time was alright"
