"What a wonderful meal! I came here with 3 other diners and we decided to order numerous dishes and all share (this is my favorite way to dine!).We ordered the shrimp in a brandy sauce, deep fried calamari, and bruschetta to start with. The calamari was by far my favorite. Made more like a ceviche instead of deep fried, this calamari had a light and simple flavor and was also very tender. The shrimp in the brandy sauce interesting – my co-diners loved it. The bruschetta was delicious, though I would have liked a bit more crisp.For our entrees we decided to go with pizzas only. We ordered the salmon and capers pizza, the mediterranean, and as well as a special that had chicken and bacon. We ordered only 3 since we were quite stuffed with the delicious starters.The mediterranean pizza (my choice) was the one I was most excited about. With a pesto and tomato sauce and marinated chicken it was delicious - the flavors were there, and the crust tasted coal fired, - only I feel that the pieces of the chicken on the pizza were a bit less. The other two pizzas, the special and the salmon pizzas were also delicious and well cooked.All the pizzas had generous amounts of cheese – the one thing I look for when eating a pizza in a restaurant.The service was attentive though it was a busy Friday night.All in all the meal was fabulous. Great food, great wine, and great company!"

"I wanted to take the time to send my appreciation and kudos to the team at Via Allegro. It was my true pleasure to visit last week for dinner (Dec 2021 and had an exceptional meal. But the best part of my visit was the customer service and care taken by the service staff and in particular the manager. (I am sorry to say I did not get his name but he was wearing a red vest and had a charming accent. He took care of our table as if we were his own family and made sure we were all very happy. His knowledge of the menu and specifics helped some in our party navigate to the best choices. He was very personable and took his time with us. HIs customer service skills really resonated with me and made my visit memorable. I look forward to my next visit and re-experiencing his amazing service."

"Right near the Hotel, just a small walk. The atmosphere is busy and buzzing but it's a large restaurant and people like to converse. We were visiting for an event in Toronto so we went to Jack Astor's, what a treat!! Service was great, staff...right there to please and the food was really good. I've never been to this restaurant before, hoping they'll have more in the US. I definitely would recommend it........I had a seafood dish, my husband ordered a steak dish. What we really liked was the portions were perfect, Fabulous!!"

"We had a great experience to be my first visit with friends. We were greeted and watched by the exposed kitchen where the action was great. Our articles started with some Agedashi Tofu, Tempura Shrimp and Veggie, Vegetable stirrup fry, Lobster...Roll, Soft Shell Crab Tempura Style, and Karaage Chicken along with a delicious compliment Lachs avocado sashimi flavor. It was all very well presented with professional results. Gojima was a good dinning experience we all enjoyed. The snake was good too."

"Has always been my favourite place to dine at. Authentic Italian restaurant. Amazing staff, you feel like you are in Italy when you are here. Food is always top tier. I urge more people to come and enjoy the experience!"

"We went here early for lunch and beat the crowd which was great on Valentine's Day. I had choose 2 items for lunch and my husband had the lunch sized salmon. The food was OK. The service was excellent. Going at lunch is a good way to avoid the crowds and the prices are lower. Other reviewers have commented on the decor being dated but I find it OK. I love fish and seafood so I always enjoy eating here."

"Received delivery at home. Very good quality and full meal for 1 for sure. Chock full so hold ve shared with sides. Had the cheese and pulled pork. All good. Easy meal and just add fries for quick meal. Ingredients all excellent quality."
