"Erica is literally the best roasted seafood I ever had in Maine. We try to make an annual tradition to go striper fishing and stop at Erica's for lunch. Yesterday we had the fried oysters, scallops and mussels. Whether you visit Maine or live locally, I strongly recommend you stop here. You will not be disappointed!"

"July 5, 2021 Like a puzzle with all pieces perfect . . . . The Dolphin Restaurant Harpswell, Maine great food, attentive service and picturesque coastal harbour views offers the perfect culinary experience . . . the deserves the highest rate of 5! Over the past 30 years, our Harpswells Rt. 123 family has been walking and enjoying the coastal landscape on the way to the Dolphin Restaurant. This family-run restaurant began in 1966. The Dolphin’s winning “Fish-Chowder Blueberry Muffin” combo contributed to their expansion in 2001 with a newly built 180-degree restaurant with window loads! On a sunny day, with cobalt skies wispy clouds float over the boats in Potts Harbor that could deny these iconic maine views? What about the food? Lunch is always a bowl of their famous fish-chowder, just the right amount of squid bites, potatoes and onions in a butterfly both! Genuine fish chowders are not covered with bacon bits, drown in a thick heavy cream broth, but a lighter broth. Thanks to Mimi Bill Saxton for the continuation of the secret fish chowdha recipe all these 50 years! Over the years we have eaten over all their seafood combinations such as fish chips, broiled fried scallops, fried mussels, and this time the new black Haddock sandwich. The menu also offers for the “land lovers” children . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Braised short ribs, burgers and Mac n’ cheese, and a few vegetarian options. A big “scream” for 16 Maine beers! I enjoyed a flight of 4 local Maine beers : few of Maine brewing machines Allagash Bissel Brothers Baxter Foundation Brewing Lone Pine Brewing Belfast Orono Brewing Boothbay Brewing Atlantic I hesitate to take the touristic stops e.g. Lands End, Giant Steps, Nubble's Bait Shack, Cribbstone Bridge, Orrs Island Candy Summer The dolphin closes in late winter. Our server thanks to Ambrose said that they can serve over 1,000 people daily. All pieces fit perfectly in the Dolphin Restaurant!"

"Went here with 6 other friends and family for my sister’s birthday. Called the day before to reconfirm reservation and ask for a piece of cake with a candle on it at the end of dinner so we could sing “Happy Birthday.” When we arrived, I reconfirmed this request and let them know we had theater tickets so needed to stay on schedule. Service was VERY slow despite several reminders that we were running late for our show, (and we did end up being late for it) The food was over spiced to the point some of it was inedible and one member of our party had to send it back. The appetizers we ordered for the table eggplant fries and calamari were unrecognizable and terrible. The piece of birthday cake never materialized and so we didn’t sing Happy Birthday after all. All in all, a very disappointing experience. We came here last year for the same birthday dinner/theater combination and it was wonderful so I don’t know what happened. We probably won’t try this place again although it used to be a favorite."

"We needed 70lbs of lobster for an impromptu lobster eating competition. Prices were great, service was great, atmosphere was nostalgic. I highly recommend the experience of getting your lobsters right next to the ocean from the fishermen. I came here years ago by boat, but the drive there this time was also pretty!"
