"Sat at the bar and enjoyed great food, drinks, and amazing company! The owner, manager, and staff are very personable, engaging, and accessible. They took care of us; made amazing food recommendations (The Oxtail was the best I've ever had! , drink recommendations (Try the Santiago Bomb , and we enjoyed a performance by the very talented live band! A must visit anytime you're in Havana!"

"We wouldn't have found this on our own except by recommendation, but it was one of the best meals we had that week. Walking down the quiet Rue Compostela away from the busyness of Obispo, we walked into this great restaurant busy with guests enjoying their meal and live music (that night). Service was exceptional with little touches adding professional flair and the food was hearty, artful and flavorful. Including wine and cocktails for 4, our meal came in under $90 CUC I recommend you get off the main Obispo path and seek out La Calesa Real!"

"Plenty of outdoor seating, which means you’ll get visits from both the cats and the mosquitoes at night. We ordered the grilled fish which came out partly raw- had to send it back to the kitchen which the waitress took offense to and was unapologetic about. It actually tasted decent during round 2 but the experience had already left a sour taste in our mouth."

"Honestly, this was my best food experience in Havana. I was not overly impressed by the dining experience in Cuba which was ok because I didn’t come for that but a girl gets hungry! This was magnificent! The fish was good. Could’ve had more salt but there was salt and pepper on the table so it’s ok. Small victories. Even as I type this I struggle between four and five stars because compared to other places it was five stars but it was really four. Anywho, the place was great overall. Good customer service. We were in a rush and they did their best to accommodate us. Then, once we realized we had time and ended up having a heated debate on the patio, they didn’t tell us to be quiet or kick us out. Small victories You’ll notice I always try to get a pic of the restrooms. Just want everyone to know what to expect. BYOS (Bring Your Own Seat) Happy this wasn’t BYOS!"

"I am so glad that we stumbled over this restaurant while we walked in the neighbourhood. the workers are so nice and friendly. we didn't even finish, but twice! daiyron, our server, was so friendly. Make sure you have it as your server. eating is amazing. my fiancée had both the lobster and I had the pork chop once and the cheeseburger for the second time. the drinks are also good!"
