"The staff is outstanding and so is the food. We had our proposal and were offered complimentary sparkling wine to celebrate. They also brought out some bread and pesto while our entrees were being prepared. We ordered the Arrabbiata, Tuscan potato, Margherita pizza and Bon Bons. Arrabbiata with burrata cheese 5 Tuscan potato 5 Margherita pizza 4 (good but not extraordinary) Bon Bons 4 (good). The ambiance is also amazing."

"Authentic Hawaiin cuisine from a lovely little Mom Pop shop! The Ono and the Lobster crab cake was so delicious and everything was very fresh. I love that these guys openly boast cooking everything to order, but the wait is so worth it. They've got some delicious local treats too. The lilikoi cheesecake was out of this world! Got to speak with the owner and staff and they are so friendly. A must visit!"

"Kona is like a tropical Las Vegas or a Monday night on Bourbon Street. THIS is the top rated sushi place in Kona? What an embarrassment. The sushi was mediocre at best with too mushy rice and meager portions. The horrible fried fare (chicken furikake that the server recommended fried ahi steak) on the other hand was awful AND plentiful. At first, I thought that the katsu sauce could save the ahi tuna steak but sadly it was just a thick glop of salt. The chicken furikake was covered in a goopy sauce that somehow congealed the fried coating on the chicken. There is NO ambiance as the window facing ‘view’ allows for a sneak peek at a gorgeous Japanese paper lantern… That has been covered in plastic and is so filthy and bug covered it is in itself nauseating. People watching is depressing as it is a belly out vibe…and not the good kind. Inside it’s dark and dingy with no attention to aesthetics."

"Stopped in for a cocktail while waiting for a table at sushi place next door. Fun waterfront joint and had plenty of seating available to enjoy the view. I asked about happ hour and the gal said all day but then saw somewhere it was like 2-5, so unclear and can 't recall if we were there after 2:00. We just got a couple we 'll drinks each, $5 it was decent drink for the good price. Wanted to try the popular fish bites but didn 't have time."

"After talking with the owner, he addressed our concerns and it sounds like our experience wasn't the norm. The food was good, and that martini is delicious. Happy to have another opportunity to experience this place and to have it be a lot better. We will be back."
