"We enjoyed the ability to choose both French and Italian cuisine. The presentation and taste of the dishes were very good, as was the service. It was fairly quiet at the beginning of the evening, but got quite loud when an all male business dinner sat down next to us. There was also a table with a couple of very loud screaming small children which lowered the ambience. We would definitely go back if it quieter. Maybe it was just a loud night."

"I came regularly before covid19 to this place. his lunch buffet was quite good, friendly staff, good services, they could not go wrong there. this is my second time in covid19 times and so far the experiences are still the same: large eating, large portions, friendly staff, good services. Moreover, they have disposable menus, disinfected tables, one person take their order, another bring them their drinks, and others bring them to eat. all take distance, clean everything between the interactions. they really feel safe and can simply enjoy their meal, so if they were Indian foods like me. that is a good option."

"Even with reservations we had to wait ~20min to be seated. Even after that we were still seated at a communal table for ‘overflow’. They don’t honor reservations."

"Dr. Hu was my dentist about 7-8 years ago; I was exceedingly satisfied, AND I left her in pursuit of finding a dentist that my HMO covered. BIG MISTAKE! Here I am now 7-8 yrs. later with a dental mess, missing teeth, teeth worn down, etc. and I've come back to Dr. Hu to try and clean it up. I should never have left! I went yesterday and in just one appointment she did and amazing job of filling cavities and rebuilding 5 teeth that were worn down. I am very grateful! She is a extraordinarily skilled, outstanding dentist."

"3ta is a new “Fusion” restaurant that just opens in downtown Mountain View. It has a beautiful, trendy look and a well-stocked bar that is actually a large part of the restaurant. As far as food goes, it was fine. For the most part, it is Vietnamese and Thai fusion, with some other small random things that are thrown in. We had a Vietnamese role that was fine, although I never enjoyed any of these types of appetizers. They also had some crab cakes that were decent... nothing too remarkable about them. For my duck, I had a fillet with curry and gnocchi. It was interesting and tasteful, and the beef was very delicate... but overall it was more interesting than good. Dessert was the strong point: her chocolate Java cake is excellent. They do not serve coffee (at least not at this time) with their desserts! What the hell?! All in all, reasonable food, but nothing too amazing, and the price is quite high. Try if you enjoy Vietnamese food, but I wouldn't go back except for dessert and/or drinks."

"I had my reservations about the food in Chez TJ. Mountain view is better known for a fabulous Burrito and eclectic Asian cuisine than the home of every fine restaurant. But after our meal there this week I cannot understand why our reservations were so easy to make - with the atmospheric heights where Christopher Kostow works in the kitchen, Chez TJ should be booked solid for weeks. I'll keep the restaurant in the wrong neighborhood. In the restaurant you have the choice of the 12-course chefs Tasting Menu, for $110, or choose 4 courses from the “Menu Gastronomique” for $80 (fois is a $12 supplement). Since there are only 14 articles on the menu Gastronomique, it makes little sense NOT to order the Tasting menu, although this route has unfortunately missed us on the trio of the sucking pig. It looked fantastic. In his place, though, we had a butter poached lobster (that was not on the menu gastronomique) that made more than for them. My favorite dish of the night was the Fois Gras prepared two ways. The first was a standard seafood with a kind of strawberry compartment. The Fois had a perfect outside tie to balance the obesity. The second was a fois gras cream brulee with a caramelized strawberry top. I loved the way the aromas of cream roe progress in your mouth. The taste of the Fois is faded in as well as the initial cream, followed by the sweetness of the strawberry. It was the perfect Ratatouille fireworks combination. The mentioned butter lobster had (what else) a truffle foam delicately layered over the bowl. That was a GREAT use of foam! It was a good, well prepared dish. There were only two downs for dinner: first the “chocolate covered banana”. The Turron ice cream that accompanied the banana was great. The banana centre was also delicious. But the chocolate itself – it was basically a chocolate ravioli with pure banana inside. We expected a harder chocolate bowl and were instead overfilled with a limp, Pasta type of texture. Serious texture injury. Secondly, as Michael Bauer remarked, the service was not nearly as accurate as the service should be in a restaurant of this caliber. A male waiter knew what he did – friendly, safe with the menu, and attentive. However, the rest of the waiting staff regularly served men in front of women and placed the plates at the wrong angle (which the male server immediately corrected). It is not that the rest of the staff was incompetent or rude, but simply not trained. Overall, however, I will return regularly to Chez TJ."
