"Good menu choice but the chicken my husband and I shared was well cooked but not overly flavourful. Could have used a few more vegetables to share. Our son enjoyed his burger. Waitress was good and friendly. Service was good. Would return and try a different menu choice."

"Don't get take out, what a joke. 5$ for eztra cole slaw you get half a cuo. 4$ extra for truffle garlic fries with no flavour and almost no cheese. Dish was only decent part nut the rip off for the rest if it doesn't add up.Called the restaurant was told by who I assume is the manager well I'm not in the kitchen I don't know what you want me to do, call SKIP and maybe the will refund you Not getting my again."

"Went for my mom's birthday. Service was good. But many of the menu items were very expensive and outside of our price range. My mom is a notoriously fussy eater but she had reviewed the menu before she came and had her heart set on the ravioli. It was out by the time we got there. Besides the items that were priced over $50, there was nothing else appealing for her. So she tried soup and starters. She was quite disappointed. My son (10 y/o) ordered a steak that they cooked for him off the lunch menu and it was very overcooked. My wife a starter and again found it meh, especially for the money that she paid. I ordered a hamburger for $22 and it was good, but I don't know if a burger could ever be worth $22. So we won't go again. They couldn't get the cheaper items right, how could I justify spending $75 for an entree item? Especially in Red Deer..."

"My wife and I went to the west lake grill this evening with two other couples for dinner. We were quite surprised to see that it wasn’t busy given the CFR is going on right now… I was actually surprised I could get a reservation...on quite short notice but now I understand why. The new menus are quite shocking in my opinion. I’m not used to seeing hamburgers for over $30 and a steak for nearly $70. Based on the feedback at the table the food was about 50-50, some really enjoyed their‘s and some were just OK. I ordered the soup of the day, pumpkin, and it didn’t taste like pumpkin and it had so much salt in it that I had to send it back. The service was good and the setting is certainly nice but it is not a fine dining establishment, it is a beautiful rustic dining experience that is unbelievably expensive. I actually find it quite offensive for a small bowl of salad to cost $20. I hope they do fine with their repricing but I for one will not be going back."

"The good: great ambiance in the dining room. Very comfy and quiet (lounge was packed but dining room dead). Ceasar salad and garlic cheese toast was delicious. Prices are good.Not so good: prime rib was sooo tough and not very tasty. Filet mignon was nicely cooked but also bland.I will give this place a second chance but won't order prime rib again"

"After we ordered, we sat and waited while other people came in and were served and were done eating and we still had not yet received our meal. After 45 minutes I stopped the waitress and asked about our meal. She made an excuse that she forgot to order it. Well didn't she see us still sitting there and she could have figured it out herself.... nope!Then she placed our ordered and brought us a meal, which is not what we ordered. Then she brings us a bill but with the wrong amount for what we ordered. My husband order fish and shrimp and received 2 pieces of fish without the shrimp. The Waitress only charged us for one meal but Haddock and fries is $14 but she charged me $19."
