"As good as it will. every bit as good as the margate original, but in a far better location in the historical and beautiful cinque port of rye. chef dew biswals singular dishes of delicate filet by claresse, plump delicately seasoned British huh, gressingahm duck, tenderloin by pork are all excellent. the handmade chocolate silk is to kill."

"As a family we have eaten out on Christmas Day for many years and have varied levels of success. Being frequent customers here we managed to make a booking for our family Christmas lunch and we’re delighted.This is a proper, traditional pub where you are welcomed by the landlord and a warm fire. I avoid the modern ‘plastic’ Christmas vibe of piped Muzak, strict timings for sittings and mass catering. The Black Horse was a breath of fresh air. We were unhurried but thoughtfully attended to without having to get out to allow for the next sitting.Our meals were all faultless and fresh. We had between the Traditional turkey, a risotto which was generous with the lobster and I had the vegetarian roast. The starters of Gravelax and Soufflé were all fresh and delicious.Considering the whole dining and bar areas were full we were delighted with the whole experience and highly we recommended it to friends."

"Service Charge Fury. HK Diner has always been my Chinese restaurant of choice when heading out into China Town, however, after my experiences there yesterday I felt compelled to write a review. There were 5 of us dining in total, and we all ordered a dish with rice on the side yet still the waiter decided to only give us 3 rice bowls....what did they expect the other two to do? When the food arrived, it was quite literally just thrown at us. Did it matter if I didn't order the squid? No, because it was put in front of me anyway.
