"Absolutely disgusted we booked a table for tonight for 7.0clock for a friends birthday.. We have just arrived to be informed the restaurant is closed for tonight.. No phone call or txt to say that the restaurant wasn't open tonight on the 22.10.16 we made this booking 2 weeks ago. We are now sitting trying to find a restaurant to accommodate us.... Fuming is an understatement"

"Was in the area and this place was recommended to me, so after checking out the reviews went there for lunch. Got there early, soon after opening to make sure no problem getting a table, as it's popular and was a way for me to go to visit. Upon entering was greeted and taken to a table, very friendly staff. Nicely laid out location with tables not too close together, but close enough so it is quick and easy for them to be changed around for different size groups. I ordered the Colmans Feast (Prime cod, thick-cut chips, homemade mushy peas plus a pot of tea or a cup of filter coffee) with a side portion of curry sauce. Came very quickly and it was lovely and hot, all perfectly cooked. Ate every scrap and thoroughly enjoyed every bit! Cod was a good size and plenty of flesh, chips were a good size and nice and chunky, curry sauce was spicy and thick enough (not too much to kill the taste of the fish/chips) and mushy peas were very enjoyable (I'm not a massive lover of mushy peas). I had the coffee as my drink and it was a decent flavoured cup. Was so good that I went back 3-4 days later with a friend and had the same again apart from skipped on the mushy peas. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food, friendly staff Due to it's popularity can get very busy (as it was my second visit) and so may have to wait for a table it you time it for the busy period. 100% without hesitation recommended!"

"Visited as supporting friends at the GNR and stopped for breakfast afyer we had dropped them off at the shuttle bus to get to the start. Excellent friendly service, lovely hot quality food, nice clean venue. Would recommend and will definately go back again."
