"Subpar cuisine. Came here on the recommendation of our travel guidebook which is a few years old now. Service is slow, but polite. House red wine not very good, did not finish my glass. Both pasta dishes we tried were “just okay”. Chatted with neighboring table that was also not thrilled with their meal. Bottom line: There’s too much amazing food in Taormina to spend a meal here."

"We liked the food very much, the wine was great too, the service was good except of the end when the waiter took us a glass of unfinished wine before the dessert without asking if we finished or if we woud like some more wine. This was strange as we were sitting, eating and drinking there all evening."

"We had a good lunch here with perfectly decent cheerful service. It wasn't up to the Ritz service standards but its a cafe on a beach after all! I keep finding that people have given very poor reviews to waiters who are just doing their job enforcing rules they didn't make. Four of us ate here having a mix of vegetable and seafood starters and some having pasta and some grilled fish. The fish was fresh and good and the pasta was tasty. We all enjoyed our meals. The prawns in the starter had an excellent flavour but could have been frozen they almost always are in London. The setting made it a meal to remember anyway and so I have given it another star."
