"This was our 41st wedding anniversary. We couldn?t have been more surprised to find a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was excellent with table linen and a romantic ambience. The crab soup was truly the best I have ever had. The main course was well portioned and prepared well. The food arrived hot through out the courses. The service was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"The steakhouse is upscale with a comfortable and inviting feel. Apparel of customers ranged from t shirts and jeans to suits. The servers are extraordinarily attentive and friendly. The bartender went of her way to make sure I found a bourbon to my liking after my initial choices were unavailable. Our server was knowledgeable offering up suggestions and favorites as well as extemely friendly. The food was incredible. I ordered the cowboy ribeye medium rare. It was served on top of sizzling butter. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The fat was rendered and melted in your mouth. She had the steak and lobster combo. The lobster was sweet and tender. We also had a few sides including the au gratin potatoes and the creamed corn. Both were exceptional and would have been the stars had it not been for the great steaks. We finished the evening with the orange white chocolate tiramisu. Not too sweet, a bit zesty, paired with a rich coffee flavor. They offer a wide variety of drinks, including a quality bourbon selection that features there own pick of Buffalo Trace; an extensive wine list, and good beer list. Their dessert drink menu includes a number of coffee, port, sherry, and after dinner liquor options. While it isn't a cheap date, it is worth a trip to treat yourself and somebody you care about."

"We had a very pleasant experience at King Crab. Both my fiancée and I really enjoyed our meals. The broccoli was quite possibly the best broccoli we each had ever tasted. The pan-fried shrimp was amazing as well! They also had alligator meat on menu which we were both tempted to try but didn’t. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant environment was very relaxing and pleasant! It’s exciting as a local resident to see a new restaurant pop up that already seems to have it together in their first week of being open."

"What a wasteâmade the reservation and went their only to find that the place was closed! Called them and got a recording that they had been closed temporarily due to unforeseen events. Issue with Open Table is that, even though Google Maps showed the restaurant as temporarily closed, Open Table still offered reservations for that evening. Dumb"

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"Food was outstanding, but pricy. Sevice was friendly and efficient. It was not the restaurant's fault, but for the first half of our evening we were seated near a loud table of six no profanity, just loud. All in all, we consider Cochon a good choice for a special evening, but too pricy to be one of our regulars"
