"The place is good, I like the food. But I feel that the prices are above average for what they offer. They charged me for each salchipapa without soda and I've been waiting for my food for more than half an hour. And that the place is empty. Apparently there was an error with my order."

"The Zarate main drag of Gran Chimu is filled with cheap-o pollerias, dirty chifa joints and dubious casinos, and Sol de Paijan tries to lift up the experience a little bit by offering a local attempt at a higher-end restaurants. The prices are still cheap (plates cost about 25 soles) and the view is ugly, but the service is above par for the area, and the food is well prepared. Service is remarkably fast, and the food features fresh food, not the yesterday 's leftovers that many of the other restaurants in the area serve. No one speaks English, so bring your Spanish speaking friend. The menu offers the usual: lomo saltado, ceviche, chicharrones, etc, but all are delicious. Recommended if you are looking for something in Zarate that is better than the rest of the local joints."

"Why oh why havent I read the reviews first... Run away as fast as you can because this is a disaster. In the pictures you can see spaghetti pomodoro that were covered with tomato soup we had as a starter. Dont need to say more."
