"My partner and I visited two days hakone and due to the lack of vegan options took half an hour to the Tokaidaigaku-Mae train station to visit walkers and pickles. it was worth the trip! the caffe was just two minutes to walk from the railway station next to the railways. the menu is limited with only two vegan options, a burger only ¥880 and a curry ¥780 that both come with pickles, salad with a beautiful dressing and the burger with roasted kartoffels. the restaurant is also specialized in a ginger apple and various vegan biscuits and sweets. we came quite late in the day, so could not try out everything and got two cookies (chocolate and deer) that were nice. the decor was very trendy with wooden and a minimalist style. the woman who ran the caffe was very sweet and although she did not speak much English, she knew what vegan was so no worries there. we also bought some organic vegan brot, which had to be great in japan and it is delicious!"
