"I read the reviews thoroughly before going here and although they were not great the main whinge's were around service. Worth a try I thought and was right. The food is good both in quality and portion sizes. The service is fine but could be improved. The main issue is that they are trying to be a bar and a restaurant and a club. Although the club is separate the bar and restaurant are integrated. Our waitress went off to investigate a few things about the booking and specials. Unfortunately she seemed to be serving behind the bar a few minutes later while we waited for her to return so we could order. Clearly they need to find a way to separate the functions so the staff are not having to deal with competing demands. If they manage that then this would be a great place rather than just good."

"I decided to go back to Jewel again after having such a great time previously. This time I had a completely different experience! The manager on duty was rude and arrogant, as well as the lady at the bar (trying to with serve us flat Prosecco getting annoyed when we asked for a fresh cocktail) Major let down, now I know why I stopped going out in London!"

"We had a good eating and drinking well and the whole experience was ruined when my daughter had stolen her handbag! how did the person who did this came past the door when the guy was badly dressed and looked out of place like everyone celebrated Christmas. my daughter ran after the guy who was stopped from any reason at the door that gave her the opportunity to confront him and get her wallet back, she informed the bouncer who did not seem to disturb us that he did not care. will not book a table there again nasty experience"
