"Breakfast both mornings of our stay was fabulous and the staff were so attentive and close by if needed. The evening meal was outstanding, although we did have quite a wait even though the restaurant didn’t appear to be really busy. Our only gripe, and it really took the edge off the evening, was the lack of waiter service. My partner had an empty glass in front of him for almost half an hour and waited more than 20 minutes for his fresh drink despite chasing twice. After our meal we grew tired of waiting and gazing about the restaurant looking for staff, instead of talking to each other and enjoying our evening. So we left without our plates being cleared and without being offered the dessert menu, coffee or drinks. We went for another drink on the terrace and a lovely lady did bring up a Happy Birthday plate for my partner. I’m going to assume she was the manager given how she was dressed differently to the wait staff, sadly I didn’t get her name. We would return to Honey restaurant for the food and we hope it was just an “off” night for the wait staff that evening. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gotham and will be returning next time we’re in Manchester!"
